Verdict: It was OK (3 of 5 stars)

I was super excited to dive into this historical witchy fiction piece, but found it to be very slow to read. At least the first half is quite a bit of "woe is me" bloat that I felt we could have done without. It does finally get moving around the final quarter, which is a nice hell-bitch witch roller coaster ride. Get ready for some gore!
