Verdict: Enjoyed it! (4 of 5 stars)

Always love me a good dystopian story, but I'm a bit wet behind the ears when it comes to near-future stuff. I did enjoy reading this one, especially once the backstories started to be revealed and the threads came together, but I don't think it would be everyone's cup of tea. It reads a bit slow, but not draggy. I did find the mental images and concepts of the Floating City and the ubiquitous Flick pretty thought-provoking. The plot is kind of ambiguous, so don't expect a strong driving storyline. It's also not for anyone who dislikes multiple POV switches, although it does keep them to chapter-by-chapter.
